Ok, this is my first critique so I don't know if what I'm gonna say will be useful: But I'll do my best :dummy:
[I just had to critique this piece its so amazing :meow:
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I like this one a lot, I just love the expression his making I think you nailed the expression beautifully :), but man i gotta tell you the hair is amazingly done I would die trying to do all does lines, you must have lots of patience.
tho, I think next time when you make an awesome piece like this, I'll like to see the black shirt have more details, it just looks to plain for me I mean look at the details of his face and hair wish you could do just a little but more on the shirt.
:D Thank you so much! yeah, i did the hair in 3 different layers, it makes it easier (bottom layer is darkest, then second layer is mids, then highlights on the third). :la: and im not sure its patience, when i finished i didnt even notice 8 hours had passed, felt like less than 2 hours. i just love drawing so much i get lost in it xD for sure though, next time i'll be doing more details on the cloth as well. this is just before i nailed down how to draw cloth textures.
Note: this is kind of funny, it took literally two days to finally be able to draw like this. . it had been about 2 years since i'd picked up a pen and actually finished a piece before This one here [link] thats what ignited my "artistic flame" haha then came my grandpa here [link] , and after that this beardyman, and the most recent one ive had time to actually finish was my will smith piece here [link] . if you have anything you want me to try and draw let me know :D i am always looking for challenges ^-^ or we could do a collab! that would be awesome too. it's up to you :)
i'll actually be uploading a full tut for this kind of drawing soon for some other peeps :) i could make the hair part separate if you want to look at it
I love drawing too, I know what you mean when time flies by, i'll be drawing all the way into the morning till I look at the clock and be like :nuu:
I would love to see how you do the hair :), do you use different brushes to make it. Now that's what i'm talking about the shirt on Will smith that is some good detail [*cough* I suck at making shirts my best shirt i ever made is this [link] ].
could you maybe draw "Nicolas Cage" from national treasure :) please.
I would love to collab, but I'm way to busy at the moment lol.
Well, I don't know what to say as feedback XD The image is a great "black and white photography" XDD It seems perfect. I have some extrange feeling about diferent eye sizes, but it may be that way by face expression or too many other causes XD
Yeah his eyes are luke that cause of his facial expression. To me this was a challenge to draw eyes that aren't always the same size to bring more emotion to the faces using the eyes. My goal with my next piece is to be able to cover any part/s of the face and be able to tell the emotion still. :) Thanks for the review even if you weren't sure what to say. I was shooting for photorealism in this piece, as I will in the next as well. Only, the next piece I am doing in color :) also, lol i want to be recognized more for my art but i dont get many views lol so if you have recommendations for what to draw, throw em at me. I love trying new styles :)
